what can I say about Milford Sound? I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking but this place, it was spectacular, even just the drive in was amazing. I was on a coach and we stopped a few times on the way to Milford Sound.
There was a section where we got off to put on snow chains, we were able to get off the bus, i walked around in the snow and was just having the time of my life. it was so good, there was a Philippino lady there who had never seen snow before, she was skitzing out… i was just filming and got some wonderful shots. The snow was so thick on the branches it was just naturally falling off, the below picture is by the my favourite from the whole trip and makes me so happy!
It was a really long day, 12.5 hours all together but so worth it, the drive there and back is so pretty as well. It was also good going on a coach, so glad I didn’t have to worry about driving, especially on the way back; halfway through the trip everyone on the bus was asleep!
Now, the cruise itself…
it was the perfect amount of time, not too long or too short. We saw dolphins really close to our boat, some seals, water fountains.. they got so close to the fountains it was so awesome!! haha lucky i had my go pro in the water proof case 🙂
the food on the boat was pretty good but overpriced! I think the day trip was the perfect amount of time, it was an enjoyable day! I met a pretty cool guy on the trip as well, became photo buddies – meaning we took all of the individual photos of each other.
the Queenstown beanie is literally my favourite thing that i bought haha milford was awesome, i was meant to go on 10/06/15 but it was cancelled cause of heavy snow (i know right), so i rebooked it but it was meant to be really bad weather for the next few days so i was kind of freaking out cause i was leaving on the Sunday but it turned out to be perfect weather; and still heaps of snow!
another one ticked off the bucket list 😀
